Songwriting & Storytelling with MAJE
MAJE is a celebrated hip-hop artist hailing from East Preston who has worked closely in the North End for years. Join him for an exciting evening while we explore songwriting and storytelling through personal experiences. Bring your stories and imagination! Photo by Meghan Tansey Whitton.
Experimenting with Placemaking
Have a new idea for your North End? Placemaking inspires people to collectively re-imagine public spaces to make them more fun and interactive. Join Kate and Michael as they introduce placemaking, wander the neighbourhood to inspire ideas, and brainstorm both the wild and practical ideas you have for your community.
Facilitation 101
Do you want to start a community conversation, make a collaborative decision, or energize your team, but you’re not sure where to begin? Join Tineke from Common Good Solutions to learn some facilitation basics, and explore tools and tricks that you can use in your next group discussion or program.
Beehive Collective Storytelling
The Beehive Design Collective is a wildly motivated, all-volunteer, activist arts collective dedicated to “cross-pollinating the grassroots” by creating collaborative, anti-copyright images for use as educational and organizing tools. Working as word-to-image translators of complex global stories, shared with us through conversations with affected communities.
