We’ll explore as a group what it takes to be a good team member. As part of this session, our very own Jocelyn Spence will share her design skills as we work together to create a promotional flyer for We Can!

Test Trade Your Product
We’ve made it through program and now it’s our time to shine! As a part of Every One Every Day’s Food Day, you’ll have the chance to share what we’ve achieved together and have community members sample your delicious hand-made product!

Product Photography
Aly from Tools for Doing Good will join us to take product photography shots of our jarred items. We’ll come together to design and build our own photography set-up and explore different lighting techniques.

Sustainability & Branding
Maddy from Verschuren Centre will guide us on how to make daily changes that support sustainable practices—at home and in business! We’ll also explore insights around branding your product and collaborate on a consistent look & feel for We Can! with Benny Fong from embetter.

Cooking & Jarring
Lauren from Real Fake Meats will lead us through a hands-on jarring demonstration using the water-bath technique.

Health & Safety 101
Matt from Wild & Harvest will be joining us share information about health & safety when it comes to jarring. Krista from The Local Source Market will also give us inspiration for sourcing local ingredients, buying in season and coming up with creative seasonal recipes.
